Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012) Compliance Statement
Dr. Bonifacio A. Masilungan Integrated National High School (DBAMINHS), operating under the Department of Education, is strictly committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of all personal and sensitive academic data collected from students, parents, guardians, and faculty members.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information necessary for official basic education administration, including student names, birth certificates, Learner Reference Numbers (LRN), academic grades, attendance records, disciplinary records, medical history, and contact details of parents or legal guardians during enrollment and throughout the academic year.
2. Purpose and Legal Basis
Personal data is collected and processed solely for educational management, enrollment validation, recording academic performance, DepEd Learner Information System (LIS) compliance, scholarship assessments, and emergency health or safety communications.
3. Data Protection and Security Standards
All physical school forms (such as Form 137 / SF10) are safeguarded within secure registrar archives. Digital records, portal logins, and uploaded documents are encrypted and restricted to authorized school personnel in accordance with DepEd Information and Communications Technology policies.
4. Access and Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians have the right to inspect, verify, and request corrections to their child's educational records. Academic marks and disciplinary records are disclosed only to the concerned learner and their verified parent or guardian, barring lawful DepEd audits or legal orders.
